Our hope is to provide encouragement and the tools necessary for your family to grieve together.
History of Family Retreat
What to expect at Family Retreat:
Professional Speakers & Counselors
Leaders in the field of grief, marriage, and family therapy assist families in walking through their grief journey. These individuals have a heart for the mission of Camp Agape.
Activities
Walk hand in hand with your child(ren) throughout the weekend creating crafts, singing camp songs, playing games, and making memories that will last a lifetime. Strengthen bonds while fishing, hiking, and through creative art projects. Learn therapeutic exercises to take home to help your family through your grief journey.
Childcare
During the weekend retreat, we encourage families to enjoy the outdoors and take time for themselves. For this reason, childcare is provided during the day for children under the age of seven.
Adult Time
Many sessions throughout the retreat weekend are focused on helping parents process their grief.
Family Time
Family is the number one priority at Family Retreat. Every evening ends with family time for discussion, decompression, and bonding. Our goal is to allow for transparent communication and avoid feelings of homesickness by having family units sleep in the same cabin.
Community
At Camp Agape’s Family Retreat, we seen many individuals and families create life long friendships.
