The Transforming Power Of Camp

Over the years, we have discovered the power of blending therapeutic activities with high-energy camp fun. Carefully sequenced activities allow children who have been affected by cases of suicide, murder, drunk driving, drug overdoses (and sadly more) have permission to feel free to play and laugh again.

Any willing person who has experienced loss can easily volunteer to be trained to help these children. During this time, you will meet and serve with others that understand you, and together we will experience and witness the miracles of healing hurting hearts.

Transforming lives. That’s the power of camp.

Summer Camp Recap

The children who arrived on Monday are not the same children leaving today. And honestly, neither are the adults. I came here hoping to make a difference in someone else’s life. Instead, God changed mine too.

Camp Agape Texas Summer Camp Testimonial

“I started this year with a simple prayer:

“Here I am, God. Send me. Use my gifts to bless others. Bring me closer to those who need to be brought closer to You.”

This week, that prayer brought me to Camp Agape.

If you had asked me last week how I ended up here, I would have told you my dear friend Robyn brought me. If you ask me today, as we pack our bags and prepare to leave this incredible place, I’d tell you that God brought me.

He brought the right people to the right place for the right purpose. He gathered hurting hearts and surrounded them with love, compassion, understanding, and hope.

Camp Agape isn’t just a grief camp for children. It’s a sacred space where the Holy Spirit moves in ways that are impossible to miss. The blessings are abundant. The miracles are everywhere. The transformation is something you can witness with your own eyes.

The children who arrived here on Monday are not the same children leaving today. And honestly, neither are the adults.

I came here hoping to make a difference in someone else’s life. Instead, God changed mine too.

So fair warning to all my friends and family: you’re probably about to hear a whole lot about Camp Agape. I can’t wait to come home and tell my people about this place, these children, and what God is doing here.

And if I’m lucky, maybe I’ll convince a few of you to come with me next year and see it for yourself.”
