2022 Summer Camp
A ministry that brings hope to grieving children through energetic camp-like settings.
Our camp took place in June at Camp Capers, central Texas. It is the perfect setting for both children and adults to take time to worship and grow closer to our Lord, all while having fun!
Camp Agape’s Summer Camp program is a unique and innovative faith-based summer camp program with all the fun of a normal summer camp, including swimming, fishing, and horse riding, along with group-therapy activities to assist the children with their bereavement process. These activities incorporate art, music, games, and play therapies, all with the theme of offering true HOPE for their future.
We typically have 4 groups separated into boy/girl groups by age, where each camper is paired with a Buddy who will mentor the camper throughout the entire camp program. Each group is assigned at least one Assistant Buddy who circulates and assists each camper pair as needed, a Counselor who observes the children and assists with processing emotions, and we have a Chaplain who circulates our camp, offering faith-based assistance when needed.
